$100 for 100 Years

Salus University continues a legacy that began almost 100 years ago with the founding of the Pennsylvania College of Optometry (PCO). Dr. Albert Fitch, PCO’s founder, was considered a visionary by his peers yet a revolutionary by others. Setting the stage for those who followed him, PCO’s history is rich with pioneers who created a curricula based on biomedical sciences, raised the bar for professional standards, and fought for legislation that would expand each professions’ scope of practice.

Now, as Salus University celebrates its 10th anniversary, and the founding college is approaching its 100th anniversary in 2019, we invite our alumni and friends to honor the legacy that has shaped the professions it serves.

In order to continue the rich legacy of PCO and Salus University, we are asking for a donation of $100 for the 100 years of excellence by June 30 in order to help us meet our fiscal year end goal.

Your contribution will support student financial aid, scholarships, faculty and curriculum development, classroom technology, building improvements, and more.

The name Salus University may still be young, but the history and reputation of our founding institution - the Pennsylvania College of Optometry - is known and respected around the world. Central to the Salus mission is keeping pace with the rapidly expanding healthcare issues, setting national trends and standards and being the leader in providing the nation’s top health science education and rehabilitation professionals. With the continued support of generous alumni and friends we will ensure the continued success of Salus as we look toward our next centennial celebration, 100 years of Salus in 2018.St

Those who give $100 for 100 year campaign will be given access to a commemorative Facebook Profile Frame.
