The Vestibular Lab offers Osborne College of Audiology (OCA) students state-of-the-art equipment found in few other audiology programs and is the program’s largest on-campus lab.
The lab's equipment includes five vestibular stations and one of fewer than 100 existing rotary chairs in the entire country, a number that includes hospitals as well as universities. Utilized for vestibular rehabilitation, the rotary chair also is used in the diagnosis of balance disorders, as is the balance machine in this lab. The balance machine is one of two that the University owns for educational purposes, the second being located at the Pennsylvania Ear Institute.
