It is now possible to walk the halls of Salus University and its clinical facilities from the comforts of home.
Salus recently partnered with YouVisit, LLC – an immersive technology company that connects schools with prospective students across popular platforms via virtual reality tours – to build a complete walking tour of the school’s scenic campus, giving prospective students unlimited access to the grounds of the University that can be viewed from at home on a computer or on a mobile device.
Located on the Admissions page of the Salus University website, as well as on the footer of the entire website, the virtual tour is easy to use. It starts at the gazebo located in the center of Elkins Park campus and walks the user through an incredible 3-D experience of the entire campus along with its associated clinical facilities, the Pennsylvania Ear Institute (PEI), the Speech-Language Institute (SLI), and The Eye Institute (TEI)’s Oak Lane campus.
“We hope that the tour will make our applicants even more excited and eager to visit in person for a counseling session or for an interview,” said Monica Maisto, director of Admissions. “What’s more is that now Admissions representatives can ‘bring’ Salus to various institutions that we visit on recruitment trips via virtual reality headsets.”
The tour features an audio guide that provides information regarding each stop along the way. The user can also dig deeper to view supplemental photos and videos at a particular stop that interests them.
First time patients for each of the clinical facilities will also have access to the tour – allowing them to view the individual sites prior to arrival, as a source of information that can bring additional comfort before they arrive for their first appointment.
