Bennett Center / Practice Management Center
Named in honor of Irving G. Bennett, OD ’44, the Bennett Business and Practice Management Center currently provides educational programs and support services to students and alumni in the optometry program. Plans are currently underway to provide similar resources for our Audiology, Physician Assistant students and alumni.
The Center also assists all related healthcare professionals in securing a new associate or partner, selling a practice or in obtaining an optometric practice appraisal. A major benefit of the Bennett Center is a specialized placement network program, “Perfect EyeSite.” This web-based program is available to all eye care practitioners seeking an optometrist, or for any student or practicing optometrist seeking an opportunity. A list of all job opportunity providers can be viewed at http://ecampus.salus.edu/placement.
For students, the Bennett Center is a unique resource, offering business and practice management electives, mentoring programs, counseling in debt management, professional career choices and a variety of job placement services, mainly through the University’s Placement Website.
The Center encompasses a broad range of services such as resume writing, employment/contract review and personalized counseling. Its current mission for optometry students is to create an awareness and knowledge of the various methods of practicing their profession. The Bennett Center will assist students to focus on their goals as healthcare professionals for the achievement of career and personal success.
