Living Skills Lab

Located in the West Wing, the Living Skills lab is a resource for students in several programs of the College of Education and Rehabilitation. The lab contains a fully equipped kitchen and an adjacent area, where students wearing devices that simulate blindness or impaired vision learn to cook, bake, measure, cut, slice, chop, microwave, write checks, sew, clean and perform many other daily tasks. This key experiential experience, offered during a 12-week on-campus summer program, prepares students to work with individuals who are visually impaired.
