AudiologyNOW! – Alumni Award Presentation

Salus audiology faculty

From April 5-8, the American Academy of Audiology (AAA) held its annual AudiologyNOW! meeting in Indianapolis. As the world’s largest gathering of audiologists, the yearly event provides participants the opportunity to attend educational workshops or sessions, explore the latest in hearing technology, and network with colleagues from around the world. The University’s Osborne College of Audiology (OCA) was well represented at the conference with several presentations and posters from Drs. Radhika Aravamudhan, Lindsay Bondurant, Victor Bray, George Lindley, Bre Myers, Jonette Owen, Jenny Rajan, Elizabeth Sedunov and Giri Sundar. Many alumni, faculty, students, advisory board members and friends of OCA attended and enjoyed the open house reception and reunion celebration, which included an elegant crudité display and artisanal meats and cheeses, in the grand ballroom at the city’s JW Marriott.

Over the years, it has become tradition to award the Audiology Alumni Association Award at the University’s annual alumni reception. This year’s awardee, Sherman G. Lord, AuD ‘09 was presented with his award by interim OCA dean, Dr. Radhika Aravamudhan. This award is presented to an alumnus/alumna of the University’s Osborne College of Audiology (OCA) or the PCO School of Audiology who has distinguished himself/herself through extraordinary service and contributions to the profession of audiology, bringing honor and prestige to Salus University and OCA.
