Audiology Summer Workshops Part 2: Update on Hearing Aid Technology and Clinical Best Practices
Every summer, Salus University Osborne College of Audiology hosts two four-day workshops focused on various topics, each committed to providing the most up-to-date information within the profession in addition to hands-on training for practicing audiologists. The second workshop, entitled “An Advanced Update on Hearing Aid Technology and Clinical Best Practices for 2017,” runs from July 27 to 30 and will be led by Drs. George Lindley, Martin Pienkowski and Jason Galster. Topics include the damaged auditory system and implications for amplification, acoustic signal processing, modern hearing aid acoustics, and outcome measures and auditory training.

Dr. Lindley is a professor of audiology and interim assistant dean in the University’s Osborne College of Audiology (OCA). He is also currently an owner of East Penn Hearing Center in Emmaus, Pa., where he works as an audiologist.
Dr. Pienkowski, who is a professor of audiology in OCA, has also conducted extensive research studies using both humans and animals, many of which have been published in professional journals. Dr. Galster is a senior manager of audiology research at Starkey Hearing Technologies, one of the largest hearing aid manufacturing companies worldwide, and an adjunct professor at Nova Southeastern University in Florida. He is a renowned researcher and has been published in numerous books.
American Academy of Audiology and American Speech-Language-Hearing Association credits will be offered pending approval.
