In this photo from the 1966 Alumni Bulletin, Dr. John C. Neill, ’22 (left) is shown receiving the Apollo Award from Dr. V. Eugene McCrary (right), then president of the American Optometric Association, during the organization’s 69th Annual Congress. Dr. Neill, then professor of contact lens practice at the Pennsylvania College of Optometry, was awarded his profession’s highest citation in recognition of his 35 years as a teacher and practitioner and for his research and the development of contact lens and telescopic spectacles.
