Salus Signs Articulation Agreement with Edinboro for Audiology Degree Program

Pediatric ear exam at PEISalus University has completed two new articulation agreements with Edinboro University in Edinboro, Pa., for Doctor of Audiology degree programs.

Under the agreement, students who successfully complete an undergraduate degree consisting of the pre-audiology curriculum at Edinboro with a 3.0 GPA or above may apply for admission into the Salus University’s Osborne College of Audiology (OCA) Doctor of Audiology program. The educational pathway is referred to as 4+4 Doctor of Audiology degree program and will consist of two phases: Phase I will include the pre-audiology curriculum at Edinboro; and Phase II will include the Doctor of Audiology Degree Program at Salus OCA.

Edinboro will confer the baccalaureate degree to those students who successfully complete Phase I, provided that all requirements for graduation are met as determined by Edinboro. Salus will confer the Doctor of Audiology (AuD) degree to those students who successfully compete Phase II, provided that all requirements are met as determined by Salus.

Under the second agreement, Edinboro’s College of Science and Health Professions and Salus University’s Osborne College of Audiology commit to training future practitioners of primary healthcare for the vital role they will play as part of integrated healthcare teams.

Students who are enrolled in their third year of undergraduate education, consisting of the pre-audiology curriculum at Edinboro, with a 3.0 GPA or above, may apply for admission to the Salus OCA Doctor of Audiology program.

The educational pathway is referred to as 3+4 Doctor of Audiology degree program and is comprised of two phases: Phase I will include the pre-audiology curriculum at Edinboro; Phase II will include the Doctor of Audiology degree program at Salus.

Upon completion of 30 credits from Salus OCA, Edinboro will confer a baccalaureate degree to those students who successfully complete Phase I, provided that all requirements are met as determined by Edinboro. Salus OCA will confer the Doctor of Audiology (AuD) degree to those students who successfully complete Phase II, provided that all requirements are met as determined by Salus.

According to the Salus OCA dean, Dr. Radhika Aravamudhan, “We are very excited for this partnership with Edinboro University, to bring these motivated students who are exposed to the profession of audiology early through the pre-audiology curriculum in both 4+4 and 3+4 tracks.”
