While filming The College Tour segment focused on Career Flexibility, Jaqueline Wiafe ‘24AUD was a first-year Doctor of Audiology student. During her time on camera, she educated the audience about the various career settings and the flexibility achieving a degree from Salus University affords its graduates.
“I'm super-excited and I'm so happy to be part of this wonderful cast and part of Salus as well,” she said. “I'm just excited to be here and to share this experience with everybody else.”
Born in Ghana, West Africa, she moved to Elizabeth, New Jersey, and started her education at a community college where she initially received her associate degree in psychology. She then went on to graduate from Kean University with a double major in communication sciences and disorders/psychology and a minor in American Sign Language.
She was excited about being part of The College Tour filming. “During my undergrad education, I wasn't really involved in the school. But just being a part of this and being able to dive into the different areas of Salus makes me very joyful and happy to feel like I'm part of the community,” she said.
Since her time at Salus, she has been a Student Ambassador and treasurer for the Salus Christian Fellowship (SCF). Learn more about Wiafe and her interest in opening her own practice in West Africa one day.
