Alumni from all our programs recently provided memories from their time as students here on campus. Below is one excerpt from the collection.
Looking back, I remember why I chose the Pennsylvania College of Optometry (PCO). It was well-marketed as the leading optometric school in the nation.
I had an amazing professor, Dr. Lorraine Lombardi, who taught me how to study and learn material. I also had great camaraderie with my classmates, all of us having the same mission and goals.
My favorite memories were of us getting through our education together, through classroom, clinical education, and early patient care experiences.
If I could advise my younger self, it would be to pay attention to everything in the curriculum, even if it seems irrelevant at the time.
