Even though some Salus at Drexel University students won’t be able to make it home for the Thanksgiving holiday, they won’t go hungry. Once again — as has been the tradition in recent years - the University has offered them a free holiday meal prepared by the Salus Cafe and Metz Culinary.
This year, the meal will include a choice of either a turkey or vegetarian dinner plate that comes with stuffing, mashed potatoes, macaroni and cheese, and a vegetable. Dessert will be included as well. These options are able to be reheated to enjoy on Thanksgiving Day.
The date for the meal pick-up will be from 2 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 26, 2024, at the grab and go area on the Elkins Park, Pennsylvania, campus. Respondents will receive an email reminder with the pick-up time availability. To date, there are 106 students signed up for the meal this year.
Salus will also continue its two decade-plus tradition of providing Thanksgiving dinner in support of the Cheltenham and Jenkintown police departments.
