Orthotics and Prosthetics Students Eligible for International Travel Scholarships

O&P student helps limb loss client

Students in the Master of Science in Orthotics and Prosthetics (O&P) program, Salus at Drexel University, can receive scholarship help to travel on international O&P service trips.

The Access UnLimbited International Trip Scholarship, valued at $1,000, is awarded three times a year (once each semester). This scholarship is designed to support O&P students in applying their classroom learning to real-life experiences while collaborating with other professionals in the profession.

Students have the opportunity to learn about other cultures while they also get to help rehabilitate people in those communities.

The summer semester 2025 application is now open for students to apply through Tuesday, April 1, 2025. To be eligible for this scholarship, students must:

  • Be enrolled in the Salus/Drexel MSOP program (both didactic and residency students are eligible to apply).
  • Maintain a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
  • Not have previously received this scholarship.

Applicants will be evaluated based on the following criteria: essay response; resume; volunteerism and community engagement history; and a letter of support from a faculty member in the MSOP program.

The summer semester scholarship winner will be announced on April 15, 2025. Each applicant will be notified by email on April 15 before the winner is publicly announced.
