About Salus University

Salus University was established in 2008 by the Pennsylvania College of Optometry, which celebrates its 105th anniversary this year. A diversified, globally recognized, professional academic center of learning, Salus University plans to merge with Drexel University, pending approval by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education, specialized accreditors, and additional third parties.

Following the merger, upon final approval by the United States Department of Education, the Pennsylvania College of Optometry will become a standalone college at Drexel University and the balance of Salus' academic programs will be included within Drexel's College of Nursing and Health Professions.
