I chose Salus for many reasons! From the beginning of my research on optometry schools, I could tell that Salus stood out from the rest. I was so impressed by the strong clinical emphasis and early clinical exposure offered by the Traditional and Scholars programs. After touring The Eye Institute, I was sold on Salus’s clinical facilities and outstanding clinical experience. Additionally, I knew Salus had a strong didactic program due to PCO’s long history of creating successful and well-educated clinicians. Furthermore, during the interview process, I could tell how supportive the faculty and staff were and how much they cared about their students’ success.

I was also drawn to Salus because of the Accelerated Scholars program. I liked the possibility of getting my optometry degree in three years instead of four, not only saving me money but also getting me out into the field more quickly. Once I was accepted into the Scholars program, I knew there was no question that Salus was where I wanted to go.

Thus far, I have thoroughly enjoyed my education at Salus. Although the program is rigorous and demanding, the faculty creates a supportive learning environment that challenges me but also guides me along the way. I can say with confidence that Salus was the right choice for me!
