Mason Peace, Post-baccalaureate in Health Sciences

Mason PeaceWhy did you choose Salus?

Hello, my name is Mason Peace. I am from Richmond, Virginia, and I am in the Post-baccalaureate Program in Health Sciences. I chose Salus because it gave me the opportunities to take the next step in my professional journey. I graduated from James Madison University in 2021 and took a gap year to work and get experience in the field of optometry. The Post-baccalaureate program was perfect to be able to get a chance to get back into the routine of school work and challenge myself with graduate-level course work. Once in this program, I was impressed with the care of my success by my professors and the help from the program’s alumni. I was able to make valuable connections with both students and staff here at Salus who have helped me in my academic journey. Through the first semester, I was able to prove to myself and optometry schools across the country that I was capable of completing graduate-level work and that I was a competitive applicant for their program.

Next fall I will be heading into my first semester of optometry school here at Salus University! Without the Post-baccalaureate program, I would not be where I am today and that is why I chose Salus!
