Why did you choose Salus?
During my professional program application process, I was eager to attend the Osborne College of Audiology (OCA) to take advantage of the extensive clinical exposure, learn from its high-caliber faculty, work at the highly acclaimed Pennsylvania Ear Institute (PEI), and engage with current and future students. I was impressed by the program from the very start when I participated in an Audiology Learning Experience during my junior year. Although remote, the discussions with presentations by the notable faculty and the early clinical immersion experience integrated into the OCA program resonated strongly with me. Not only was every professor remarkably enthusiastic about their teaching; it was apparent that each sincerely cares about their students and their success.
In addition, it was evident that the Salus student panelists who shared their perspectives and advice with prospective AuD students were distinctly positive and enlightening about the program. Many expressed they received excellent training and expansive learning experiences on and off campus. I recognize and appreciate the benefit that Salus’ AuD students have in gaining clinical experience right from the start. In addition, the pre-clinical labs and the PEI clinical facility are the highly innovative environments I was searching for. When driving around the campus and Elkins Park, Pennsylvania, I could easily picture myself there. Its proximity to the city and my family makes it a perfect location for me.
After being in the program for a year, I can attest to every aspect that intrigued me by the OCA. I strongly recommend exploring Salus University’s Audiology Program and seeing if it is the right place for you!
