The Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) program and the Speech-Language Institute (SLI) invite undergraduate students in Communication Sciences and Disorders (CSD), or post-baccalaureate students taking Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) coursework, to participate in a remote observation experience at the University. The observation program will provide CSD majors with an opportunity to interact with American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) - certified and Pennsylvania-licensed speech-language pathologists and current graduate SLP students as they work with a range of clients - from infants and toddlers to older adults - with a variety of communication and swallowing disorders at our on-campus clinical facility.
The observation program will be held at SLI in-person at the clinical facility. This program is limited to any CSD major in their junior or senior year, or a Post-baccalaureate student taking SLP coursework, who is not currently an applicant to the program. Should you wish to observe virtually, please submit the request, with a valid email address, and we will schedule with you directly for one of our available times.
If interested, please complete the online participation form and select potential dates. Please note we cannot take individual requests to see specific types of clients or sessions at this time, but we can guarantee that you will see a variety of clients while observing at SLI.
Please note that our online forms are only supported on Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge browsers. We recommend using one of these browsers to ensure form submissions are received properly.
