Institutional Charges/Refund Schedule for Lock-Step Programs or Non-Lock-Step Program Students Taking Federal Financial Aid
The institutional charge is based upon the number of days a student is enrolled at Salus University prior to the withdrawal or dismissal date. The formula is calculated as follows:
*includes weekends and holidays, less any scheduled breaks greater than 5 days
The resulting fraction is converted to a percentage. Any percentage attended equal to or above 60% results in 100% institutional charge.
Institutional Charges/Refund Schedule for Non-Lock-Step Programs Charged on a Per-Credit Basis Not Taking Federal Financial Aid
If a student drops during the two-week drop/add period or after drop/add but prior to the start of the course, there is no charge. If a student drops a class(es) after drop/add and after the start of class, the following calculation will be used:
*includes weekends and holidays, less any scheduled breaks greater than 5 days
The resulting fraction is converted to a percentage. Any percentage attended equal to or above 60% results in 100% institutional charge.
In an occurrence where two or more in-progress courses of varying lengths or start dates are dropped on the same date, and the student is no longer enrolled in any courses in the term, the course in which the student attended a greater percentage will be used to determine the amount of university fees for which the student is responsible.
If a student withdraws from the entire program, the term beginning and end dates, as dictated by the university calendar, will be used instead of course duration dates.
Virtual Instruction
Please be advised that Salus University may provide all or a portion of your instruction virtually, either synchronously or asynchronously, due to the COVID-19 pandemic or based on other considerations intended to maximize educational instruction. No refund of tuition or fees will be issued as a result of a transition to virtual instruction, unless a student timely withdraws in accordance with this policy.
