Master of Science in Orthotics and Prosthetics
We have recently been informed by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) of a landmark achievement for Salus University. On March 15, 2024, CAAHEP made the decision to grant initial accreditation to our Orthotist/Prosthetist program.
This initial accreditation is a testament to our program's steadfast commitment to excellence and adherence to the highest educational standards. Accreditation by CAAHEP is only awarded to those programs that have successfully demonstrated compliance with rigorous standards, ensuring the best possible educational experience for our students.
The next comprehensive evaluation of our program is scheduled for no later than 2029. In the meantime, the National Commission on Orthotic and Prosthetic Education (NCOPE) will perform annual reviews to monitor our compliance with these standards, as well as to evaluate our program's outcomes based on annual reports and supporting documents (as outlined in Standard IV.B.).
Students in this program will learn in closely-knit cohorts alongside skilled faculty who are ABC board-certified prosthetist-orthotists and licensed in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. The new laboratory facilities on the University’s Elkins Park, Pennsylvania campus, provides a state-of-the-art, dedicated training and learning spaces for students in orthotics and prosthetics.
Applications for admission to the MS in O&P now open! Return to this page and check back under Admissions for more information. In the meantime, we invite you to share your questions and thoughts by emailing OandP@salus.edu.
