Why did you choose Salus?
Hello everyone! My name is Amber Lewis and I am an incoming first-year Orthotics and Prosthetics (O&P) student. I was born and raised in Philadelphia and I attended East Stroudsburg University for my bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science. After graduating in 2021, I was looking all over for the perfect program to gain my master's degree.
So why Salus you might ask? When looking online at what the brand new O&P program offered here, I was amazed at how well it checked all of my boxes and exceeded my expectations. Then after visiting the campus, I fell even more in love with what Salus has to offer: the new program focused on my exact interest, the faculty, the location, and all that comes with this school. I am the type of student who enjoys smaller class sizes and knowing that the new O&P program offered that piqued my interest. Being a part of this brand-new program will open a lot of doors for new experiences and partnerships. O&P is a very sought-after profession and being a part of the class at Salus gives me the chance to enter a program that will teach me everything I need in order to grow and achieve the future I want in the field.
After my interview, I was even more interested in Salus as I got to know more about the program firsthand from the people who have put all their time and effort into developing this amazing program. When I finally was able to visit Salus and meet the faculty, I knew that this was going to be my home away from home for the next two years. I chose Salus and I am beyond excited for this next adventure.
