First-Year Occupational Therapy Student: Julia Sennett

Hi, my name is Julia Sennett. I am a first-year Occupational Therapy student here at Salus University.

OT students in white coatsA typical day in my life:
I am actually a commuter student (I live in South Jersey) so I'll wake up usually about two hours before class, and it takes me about an hour to drive here. Once I get here, I settle into class. My favorite lecture would probably be the pediatric courses that I'm taking because I want to work with children with cognitive and intellectual disabilities.

Around 11:30 a.m. to noon, we will break for lunch. My friends and I will sit and discuss everything that we learned in the first lecture, and then after lunch we'll begin our second lecture. That usually lasts until about 2:30 to 3 p.m., and then I start my commute home (about an hour and a half with traffic).

I chose Salus because I love the location and I absolutely love the campus. I also enjoyed the size of the cohort. Considering we are a smaller program, I love that I can get in touch with my professors very easily, and all of my professors know me and know all of the other students in my cohort as well.
