The Reflecting on Interprofessional Project-Based Teamwork IPLA builds on the interprofessional team project offered to Salus students in one of two courses: The Interprofessional Evidence Based Practice (IEBP) course offered to first-year students in the traditional optometry, three- and four-year audiology, speech-language pathology, occupational therapy, orthotics and prosthetics, and physician assistant degree programs; or the Foundations of Education and Rehabilitation course offered to students in the low vision rehabilitation, orientation and mobility, teachers of students with visual impairments, and vision rehabilitation therapy programs. This IPLA offers students the opportunity to reflect on their use of the IPEC Sub-competencies in the course team project, how they relate to improved patient/client outcomes, and document progress towards achievement of collaboration competencies.
