Third-year optometry student, Courtney Goode, has received the J. Pat Cummings Scholarship from the American Optometric Foundation (AOF). Sponsored by Johnson & Johnson Vison Care, the scholarship is awarded annually to a second or third year student from each North American school of optometry who “best demonstrates the ideal eye care standards of practice, achievement in both academic performance and extra-curricular activities, and participation with other professional pursuits such as involvement with patients through internships, community service, and other volunteer activities.” Ms. Goode received a $1,000 award along with a plaque, which was presented on behalf of Johnson & Johnson by PCO dean, Dr. Lori Grover. Congratulations, Courtney - well done!
