Salus University has recently been approved by the Continuing Education Board (CEB) of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) to offer continuing education courses for audiologists and speech-language pathologists. ASHA Approved CE Providers are the only organizations approved for offering continuing education courses for audiologists and speech-language pathologists for ASHA Continuing Education Units (CEUs).
This designation comes after a stringent application process with ASHA, which was spearheaded by Dr. Melissa Vitek, director of International and Continuing Education for the University, Dr. Gregory Genna, instructor at the Osborne College of Audiology (OCA), and Robert Serianni, MS, CCC-SLP, interim chair and director of the Department of Speech-Language Pathology. "We are pleased to have become an ASHA continuing education provider, and we look forward to expanding both our discipline-specific and interprofessional continuing education offerings in alignment with this achievement,” said Dr. Vitek. “This designation will expand the University’s ability to help train today’s professionals,” commented Mr. Serianni. “We look forward to future Salus continuing education offerings.”
In addition to complying with ASHA CEB standards and the ability to include the ASHA CE logo on promotional course material, the University will be listed on the ASHA CEB’s Approved CE Provider list and their courses that meet CEB standards will appear in ASHA CEUFind on their website.
