‪Jenessa Stiles and Mary Jordan Attend Audiology Conference

Second-year students Jenessa Stiles and Mary Jordan were recently awarded a travel grant from the Salus University Alumni Association in order to fund their travels to the American Academy of Audiology Conference in Phoenix, Arizona. Funding is awarded to students participating in an approved outreach program, including health screenings, humanitarian service trips and academic or clinical challenge bowls.

Jenessa, a resident of Curwensville, Pennsylvania, and Mary, a resident of Annapolis, Maryland, used their funding to present their research. At the conference, Jenessa “attend[ed] lectures being presented by distinguished members of [her] profession” while Mary was able to meet other professionals and “gain exposure to cutting-edge research… in order to further build upon [her] foundation of knowledge.”

Both students along with Dr. Elizabeth Sedunov presented their research poster, entitled Treatment of a Vestibular Disorder: Mismanagement and Differential Diagnosis in the spring.
