Recently, students in the Occupational Therapy (OT) program at Salus University were inducted into Pi Theta Epsilon, the national honor society for Occupational Therapy students. This was the second induction ceremony for the University’s Delta Mu chapter of Pi Theta Epsilon, recognized by the Association of College Honor Societies, and a program of the American Occupational Therapy Foundation.
Students were welcomed by Dr. Fern Silverman, director of the Doctor of Occupational Therapy (OTD) program, who spoke to the importance of being a scholar. Deans and directors from the College of Education and Rehabilitation were present to congratulate each new inductee. “The ceremony was a wonderful way to acknowledge the milestone achievement, and inspire the inductees on their road to becoming scholars,” said Dr. Andrea Tyszka, assistant professor. Also in attendance were Dr. Michael H. Mittelman, Salus University president, Dr. Janice Scharre, provost and vice president for Academic Affairs, Dr. Brooke Kruemmling, assistant provost, and Dr. James Caldwell, dean of Student Affairs.
