Last week, students in the Occupational Therapy (OT) program were inducted into Pi Theta Epsilon, the national honor society for Occupational Therapy students. This was the third induction ceremony for the University’s Delta Mu chapter, recognized by the Association of College Honor Societies, and a program of the American Occupational Therapy Foundation.
During the ceremony, students were welcomed with speeches from Dr. Fern Silverman, director of the Doctorate of Occupational Therapy (OTD) program, Andrea Tyszka, assistant professor of Occupational Therapy and Dr. Lauren Sponseller, Occupational Therapy program chair and director of the master’s program. Deans and directors from the College of Education and Rehabilitation were present to congratulate each new inductee as they recited the honor society pledge, signed their name as a commitment to the society, and were presented with a certificate of induction.
