The summer season at Salus University means Summer Workshops, presented by the University's Osborne College of Audiology (OCA). These two four-day workshops and one day-long workshop will be given with three goals: providing updates on a specific topic of study, reviewing clinical implications, and providing hands-on training using new tools and techniques. Each workshop will be co-led by a Salus faculty member who is distinguished in their distinct field.

The first course in the Summer Workshop is Electrophysiology in Audiology. Duo James Hall III, PhD, and Robert Harrison, PhD will take the lead for the four days of this workshop, which will take place from July 21-24. Dr. Hall is a professor of Audiology at Salus University and has been published in many medical journals for his work and research in both audiology and speech pathology. He specializes in auditory electrophysiology, diagnosis of infant hearing, auditory processing disorders, tinnitus and decreased sound tolerance disorder, and best practices in audiology. Dr. Robert Harrison is an adjunct in the University’s Osborne College of Audiology. He is currently a professor, and vice-chair of research in the Department of Otolaryngology – Head & Neck surgery at the University of Toronto.

The second is the Vestibular and Balance Disorders: Assessment and Rehabilitation course led by Jamie Bogle, PhD, and Bre Myers, AuD, PhD, which will take place from July 26-29. Dr. Jamie Bogle is an adjunct in the University’s Osborne College of Audiology. She specializes in vestibular evaluation and balance rehabilitation for patients with concussion, assessment and treatment of patients with balance disorders, fall risk in patients with balance disorders, and cochlear implants at the Mayo Clinic in Arizona. Dr. Bre Myers is a professor of Audiology in the University’s Osborne College of Audiology. Her specialty is vestibular evaluation and management as well as evidence-based practices and adult amplification. Dr. Myers has published many articles and has received numerous awards for her work in audiology.
