Salus Announces Tuition Freeze for Its Audiology Program

Doctor and patients at PEIFor the second year in a row, Salus University Osborne College of Audiology (OCA) will freeze its tuition for the 2019 – 2020 academic year.

“It is not inexpensive to provide the Doctorate in Audiology (AuD) education with a unique model like ours,” said Radhika Aravamudhan, PhD, dean of OCA. “However, because of the great opportunity that our program offers, students want to come to OCA for their AuD; and we have heard several times from our students that cost is a major factor in deciding between our program and another. In order to make our unique program more affordable, we have decided to freeze tuition and provide more scholarships.”

As the first and only stand-alone college of audiology in the country, the University’s unique Audiology program includes:

  1. Advanced-level training with the biomedical sciences focus
  2. Early, extensive and advanced clinical experience (more than 2,000 hours in clinic)
  3. New short clinical rotation abroad to India at no additional cost
  4. Interprofessional education focus
  5. Opportunity to earn advanced studies certificates in cochlear implants, vestibular sciences or tinnitus & hyperacusis in the students’ fourth year.

OCA joins a handful of other institutions across Pennsylvania who are freezing or cutting tuition in an effort to obtain more students as well as give students a better return on investment for their education.
