Salus University welcomes Chad Killen, OD '19, Resident '20, as an instructor at the Pennsylvania College of Optometry and clinical instructor in primary care services at The Eye Institute.
Dr. Killen graduated from Gettysburg College with a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Health Sciences. In 2019, he received his Doctor of Optometry degree from Salus University, Pennsylvania College of Optometry (PCO) and completed a residency in Low Vision Rehabilitation at The Eye Institute.
Dr. Killen received the William Feinbloom Low Vision Award and Bernard Blaustein Resident of the Year Award for the Residency Class of 2020.
In his position as clinical instructor, Dr. Killen will be working with first, second, and third year students’ precepting them in their primary care experience.
"I am so excited to be joining the fantastic faculty at Salus and to work with students at The Eye Institute," Killen said. "Having graduated from Salus/PCO I know how important those clinical encounters and challenging cases were for my education and I look forward to helping our students become well rounded clinicians. Salus has such a supportive and encouraging environment that I know will allow me to flourish as a clinician and educator."
