Summer 2022 Art Exhibit

Fall art exhibit pic1In an effort to brighten up the space during the summer months, artwork from members of the Montgomery County Guild of Professional Artists (MCGOPA) is now on display in the D’Arrigo Family Gallery at the Hafter Student Community Center on the Elkins Park, Pennsylvania campus of Salus University.

According to gallery director, Elynne Rosenfeld, who also serves as co-gallery director for MCGOPA, members were asked to bring some small pieces to display in the gallery, which will be up through Sept. 8, 2022.

Fall art exhibit pic2In 1998, MCGOPA set a mission to provide a platform for artists to exhibit their work, to educate the public about the fine arts and to offer professional collaboration and support to working artists.

The group is comprised of two dozen artists who were juried into the organization by its fellow artists. The guild’s accomplished artists are passionate about the visual arts and have each received a handsome measure of recognition for their creative work, according to Rosenfeld. The artists’ backgrounds, mediums and approach to art vary, which affords the group rich and diverse pursuits in the visual arts. These artists exhibit their work in museums, galleries and art centers in juried, curated and invitational exhibitions.

Many of MCGOPA’s artists are educators and instructors. In addition to showing their work regularly at their home gallery, the 431 Art Gallery at the Upper Merion Community Center in King of Prussia, MCGOPA’s artists enjoy sharing work to venues throughout Montgomery, Chester, Delaware and Philadelphia counties.
