Students Won’t Go Hungry on Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving costumed ladyEven though some Salus at Drexel University students won’t be able to make it home for the Thanksgiving holiday, they won’t go hungry. Once again — as has been the tradition in recent years - the University has offered them a free holiday meal prepared by the Salus Cafe and Metz Culinary.

This year, the meal will include a choice of either a turkey or vegetarian dinner plate that comes with stuffing, mashed potatoes, macaroni and cheese, and a vegetable. Dessert will be included as well. These options are able to be reheated to enjoy on Thanksgiving Day.

The date for the meal pick-up will be from 2 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 26, 2024, at the grab and go area on the Elkins Park, Pennsylvania, campus. Respondents will receive an email reminder with the pick-up time availability. To date, there are 106 students signed up for the meal this year.

Salus will also continue its two decade-plus tradition of providing Thanksgiving dinner in support of the Cheltenham and Abington police departments.
