Hafter Student Community Center

The Hafter Center offers a place for fitness, fun, exercise and sport. The gymnasium is used for large combined classes, University events and student indoor sport competitions.

The fitness center is for the sole use of University students, faculty and staff, and the members of the neighboring Breyer communities, who may enroll as gym members for a fee. The building is also available for use as a community space, with past functions including but not limited to: charity fundraisers, exhibitor halls and local recreational sports.

A private company, Corporate Fitness Works, of Virginia, administers the Center’s exercise gym and fitness programs. The Office of Student Affairs has responsibility for the operation of the Hafter Student Community Center and for scheduling events in the Center.
