In recognition of “Save Your Vision Week” in March 1953, Dr. John J. Crozier helps to put the finishing touches on a billboard located on the south side of Philadelphia City Hall. Using the slogan “See Clearly – Drive Safely,” the billboard stayed up for three weeks, sparking coverage from newspapers, radio and TV stations from all over the state. On Monday, March 2, a special screening of truck drivers was held at the clinics of the Pennsylvania State College of Optometry (PSCO), later renamed to the Pennsylvania College of Optometry (PCO), in order to promote safe driving procedures.
